When Krispy Kreme wanted to upgrade their work station and image, right in the heart of Selfridges in Birmingham City centre, they knew that picking the correct floor was paramount to their design specification.

Working with many ingredients such as sugar and dough it was important that the floor be slip-resistant, but with several wash downs a day it still had to be easy to clean with a light cleaning regime that would not disrupt production.

A main contractor was appointed to complete the refurbishment and looked to CFS to carry out the Altro specification given from the architect.

9mm of Polyurethane screed was specified with 150mm high cove detail to create a totally seamless/tanked floor that was slip resistant and easy to maintain, this system was given a 10 year product Warranty.

The programme given to complete works was a very tight programme as to minimise down time for the business to be closed and also to be carried out in the evenings as to not disrupt public shopping hours, this was easily met and executed by CFS with finish results transforming the staffs normal working space into a brighter and safer environment .
